These types of beds are much more compact than a conventional bed and will often sit much closer to the ground. Generally you will find that it is the more contemporary style beds that include these items and they are made either from leather or microfiber. However, if you are someone who wants to create a more ornate look to their room then opt for the beds made from real wood. This allows for delicate scroll work to be cut into it. But as they are compact then it will allow a warm feel to be provided to the room that a traditional bed would also provide. But if you would prefer to keep the style of the bed very minimalistic then look for beds that have a Japanese or Asian influence to their style.

But if you are decorating a room where the colors are quite bold like those that are found in a child’s room then the more contemporary style of platform bed with drawers should be considered. These have much cleaner lines to their shape and will be made from metal or wood. So come in a wide variety of different colors. For a child’s room consider those made from metal as they have a much larger choice of colors that are both bright and bold.
